I sure hope someone in the ultralight industry can put a good spin on this.

Unbelievable I just saw it played on the evening news. You don't know whether to try and be part of the lynch mob to get rid of this guy or to be quiet as a mouse and hope that it just goes away.

When I saw the video in the forum here I didn't realize it had just happened. It appeared to be a two place thankfully he was alone.

If a picture is worth a thousand words a video like that on primetime TV is a whole chapter.

Thats real bad press for ragwing Ultralights.

Thank god a Lazair looks nothing like that at all.

Lazair looks more like a gracefull dragonfly with the clear covering than
something made completely out of pipe and fabric, like some mad avaitor nut from the Wright Bros era might have built in his garage from the leftovers of some other project.

LOL
:P

well id personally like to know how he got in that attitude at all. and why was he flying so close to a school when there was an event going on? whole thing looks retarded to me. from just seeing that clip and not knowing the whole story it almost looks like he was trying to buzz the crowd but when he got into a step turn he lost altitude and nailed the car with a wing tip.
the biggest problem w/ some UL pilots is that since they dont need a license they dont worry about the consequences, this comment stems from a recent incident where a crashed was nearly avoided at the local airport because a UL guy came across the threshold just above the trees while another guy was departing the runway. lets just say it was so close people were looking for scratches in the paint! i know a lot of safe guys but i know just as many who have the attitude of "i dont care, what can the do to me"
but thats just my opinion.
