Have purchased a Series 1 here in Australia without any engines and minus
the pushrods. Is someone able to tell me the exact length and diameter of the pushrods and what material it's made from.

According to Dale Kramer all tubing is seamless 6061T6. The aileron tubing is .5" with wall thickness of .035" and 11' long ( I'm going on memory here). If no one corrects this I'll check mine tonight. Do a search for Dale Kramer and you'll get the info on all the types of metals. Like for instance post #3309.

Remember, the Series I pushrods were the smaller rods. I believe they are .25 OD and yes, they are also 6061-T6. The wall thickness and length I can't help you with.

Tony, I was referring to the aileron pushrods. Which did you want?

Sorry guys. I should have been more specific.
I'm missing the pushrods that go from the joystick to the ruddervators.
Made from a solid nylon type material.

That's a new one on me. I wasn't aware that a nylon rod was ever used on a s-1. All I've ever seen were like lazairiii described.

It sounds to me like Tony might be talking about the nylon guides for the pushrods on the tailboom.

Tony,

Are you referring to the Nylon guides that hold the ruddervator pushrods? If so, I may be able to hook you up.

Tony
i think you are after the (T26 )control rods running from the mixer thru the nylon guides (F32) to the ruddervators.
they are 6061-T6 alloy they are tapped for 3/16 thread for the rod ends at each end. i can't remember what the dia/length is but i will measure mine on the weekend and post here if no one else does,
steve

117 inches long 1/4" OD seems like 1/16 wall thickness
