Around edmonton all the lakes are basically sloughs, about 4 to 10 feet deep at the most. a little further north around Peace country the lakes resemble ontario lakes again, but that's about 3 hours north of edmonton! When you look at those mountain pics on the lazairforce site though I've gotta go poke around those mountain lakes someday on floats....
