The data plate was to be made up by the builder and attached to the
boom. on a Fireproof Plate, under Transport Canada Regulations at the
time.

The database at UltraFlight was compiled from the incoming
registrations done by the owner at their option. And there are many
Lazairs that are not registered with Transport Canada and with no
original KIT NUMBER stamped by owner and attached on Lazair. It
would be hard to keep an accurate database of all Lazair Kits Shipped
out.

It looks like Tyler did a great job at getting together what he did.

And to Bill, is was law to register Lazair prior to 1983 in Canada
and it still is. Although it maybe cheaper and easier to call it a
homebulit UL (basic UL) and called it whatever you like.

US regulations require no markings of any sort be added to the planes as long as they weigh less than 254lbs and meet other ultralight guidelines. My Lazair for example has no identifiable markings of any sort as per FAA part 103.
