Dale Kramer now lives and flies on Keuka Lake at Hammondsport, NY There are sixty photos with Dale at the controls On this day Dale was filming the flight of the Curtiss Triad A-1 replica from the air. Dale removed the landing gear to get better photos on the next day. Wheels off in this photo. ... 1/DSC04168
I didn't realize you guys are such nuts over this plane, but I fell in love with it at the first glance. Dale said when he picked the plane up 3 miles from where it was built the only thing he has done to it was clean the carburetors. It was one of the last ones built. He has flown it to 10000 feet.
The replica was flown by Jim Poel former airline pilot now owns the blue and aqua color Seabee on my web site. Everyone is invited to the next Curtiss Museum Fly In Sept. 2006 firm date later. I am confident Dale will be in attendance with his Lazair.
