:P Hey guys,
Just a reminder to the guys that haven't posted on my location web page.
It's good to know where all of us are flying from. you may find someone close
to fly with that you didn't know was there

Been on your map for a little while now. Just purchased a digital camera so I tried it out by posting a shot of the current condition of my Lazair. Maybe three more weekends should do it if I can stand to go out in this miserable cold weather we are having down here. Hasn't been out of the low 60's for a few weeks now!

:) Russell,
Man I know what you mean. We are in the mid 40's here in N.C. and in the 20's at night.
I got my new solo 210 engines and been trying to mount them to the 185's nacell.
I got gas heat in the shop but that concret floor is so cold.
I often wounder how Tyler and them in Canada can take the below 0
temps. Not me!!!!!!!!

Without a doubt you either have to be born there or there's a penquin in your family tree.

This Aussie would pucker right up in those low temps. Just the oppersite here at the moment a few plus forty cel. days last week. Dang hot.

how about some brave sole putting on his skis and videoing a flight. interested to see ski flying. just don't get much chance to do it here.

any one consided cabin heat by running a pipe in from the back of the cyl head
if you havn't got a cabin you can stick a tube up each trouser leg. ha ha might work tho. make life a bit bearable. ozzie

Is there a noticeable takeoff roll distance increase in this deadly cold air?

Excuse me, I mis-wrote. I meant to write "decrease in take-off roll distance".

On a mid-summers day you go to get in your car after it's been sitting in the sun for an hour or so and you open the door and that burst of air that is equivalent to your granny's oven when she's baking that sweet apple pie, you sit down on the seat and you swear you can hear a crackling sound similar to that of an egg frying in a black cast iron skillet in the early morning as you stand at window watching the sun come up, and for the next 15 minutes in order to breathe you have to be on a that's what I call an ideal day for flying!
