That's great Mike. Just as soon as possible post some flight performance figures and personal analysis of what flying with them means vs. direct. This will help people make the decision to invest in them.

one question i will have is

what will be the bolt hole pattern of the new prop hub? can we drill that ourselves perhaps as an option? or will it be matched to the props we get? Daffy got some pretty jazzy ground adjustable props for his redrive and we have been able to tune the pitch to achieve maximum rpm for takeoff, and thus maximum engine HP for takeoff

Tyler,
I've drilled mine, 4 - 8mm holes on a 55mm PCD, I found it to be a standard pattern somewhere on the web. I had to make patterns, moulds and machine a hub to get ground adjustable props, I couldn't find anything avaliable here in Aus.
What props did Daffy get?

Ozzie,
My rag and tube is a Bunyip, very similar to a tyro. It has a 440 robin on it with one of my redrives.
I'm continuing the redrives for john's two lazairs in the bluemountains. He's got R185's. These are what the composite props are for.

Hi crazyneosimpson,
I have GSC props. 44" in diameter and at 6100rpm on a hot day, I get close to 80lbs static thrust/engine. I have not test flown the plane yet, because I am working on the electrical stuff now and adding my new EGT gauge, RPM gauges and strobe light. Daffy

daffy means that his solo engine turns at 6100 through a 2.something redrive... the prop is somewhere around 2700rpm?

Thanks for clearing that up Tyler, yes 2700rpm at the prop.

the hub will have two bolt hole patterns on it. they are standard measurements so any regular prop should fit.
