SOLD 1-15-10 $5900 RE-LISTED ON EBAY 1-26-10
This Lazair III ultralight has been completely refurbished by a former
LAZAIR dealer.
Why is this LAZAIR Better than original?
1. The wings have been covered with Poly-Fiber (Stits) fabric and
painted with beautiful Poly-Tone metalic blue.
2. This fabric is good for 30 years and better than the TEDLAR
formally used because it is lighter, affords better visibility by other
pilots, lasts longer, is easier to patch, and has accessible
inspection plates.
3. The wing ribs have riveted cap strips top and bottom so the fabric
can not balloon in flight.
4. The 9 HP Rotax engines have been fitted with Vess wooden props
which are more efficient than the old plastic bi-props.
5. It has hand brakes rather than pedal brakes which are easier to use and more effective.
It has new props, new tires and tubes, new fuel lines, new fabric and paint,
new seat cover, and new gap covers.
Funny how this dealer learned to put capstrips top and bottom of the wings even with Polyfiber fabric. Some prior experience must have led him to the conclusion that it was definitely a great idea and very much needed.

These planes are being offered by David LeGrand. I believe he sold more Lazairs in the USA than any other dealer. He also had some that he rented out. I don't think any other dealer ever did that. As a consequence, Ultraflight did a pretty good parts business with him!
He says he has two more Lazairs that he plans on putting up for sale soon.
