holy crap

imagine this engine turning its 36x12 prop?!?!?!? must really hit the 6300rpm speed!

even the factory unmatched lazair prop for this motor is 34x20!

No doubt. As Chappy mentioned in his posts about early KFM experimentation there were numerous problems with short fast turning props. Surely you would burn the tips right off 36x12's at 6,300.

Amazing how these KFM engines keep turning up on E-bay frequently. Anyone with a two seat Lazair equipped with KFM's could have plenty of spares if they wanted them. Now if only some JPX 425's and 185's would start showing up huh !

Look at the prop speed calculator at http://www.pponk.com/ . The 33x18 is a good match. Didn't the factory supply 34x20's. Yes, I think they did. I doubt you would get 6300 with a 36x12 prop. More like 7300 with that much HP. A 36x12 prop would probably blow apart after a bit.
