judging by this amount, i am wondering if the dude bought it himself? its ironic that the selling price and the price here are so close... its not uncommon on ebay for a seller to have an "alter ego" account to drive the price up... fishy...

Ok, i wonder how hard it would be to export a Lazair out of Canada and send it to OZ. to send a twenty foot container is about 2,500 dollars. would any one know who to approach to enquire exporting a Lazair. i've been thinking of this for a while. it would be the only way to get a series 3. can bet their is a whole heap of paper work at this end. if i start now i may be able to look at shipping around christmas.

Send me your location of list and I'll look into shipping something that large. Just finished shipping a piece of machinery to Ozzie Land. Wasn't a whole lot of trouble at my end.

hi Glen, i'd ship into Port Botany in Sydney. if the lazair came with a trailer it would make shipping a whole lot easier. just roll it into a 30ft container.
it would also have to be cleaned of all dirt and grass ect.
another alternative wwould be to bring two in in the one container.

about ten yrs ago a company i worked for brought a couple of c182 in from America and the paperwork for the FAA and export paperwork was a nightmare.
maybe a aircraft broker experienced in importing may be the way to go.
i'll ask around and will move on from there i think thanks ozzzie

The paper work for ultralights in Canada is nothing like an FAA or TC registration. I wouldn't expect much problem to export from Canada or USA. Lazairs aren't even required to be registered in the US. The concern would be acceptance at your end. We're not talking about moving a CERTIFIED aicraft across international borders. In US it's a vehicle and in Canada it's a basic ultralight. Neither country refers to them as an air craft in the regulations. No passengers and no certificate of airworthyness. The big thing here is the comercial documents so governments can get their piece of the tax pie. Other wise, it's just freight.

best thing to do first then is work out the freight and taxes/ paperwork and then look for the aircraft. see what pans out. thanks ozzie
