No worries, I will have to drill out the jury brackets and remove SS rivets. I was hoping there was another method so that I did not have to drill out these peices such as using the G235 plate to stick the tedlar to under the G314/G246.
At least the holes are there for when I have covered the wings, its been 100c here for a couple of days and I think my brain is getting fried, I'm also doing University so I am squeesing in study between Lazair building.
Thanks for the explanation.

I also have catstraps (4) of W - 2@ 14in - 2 @10 in and (4) of N 2- @ 14in -2@10in, do you know / have pic of these parts installed ?

This is what I am considering doing with the jury strut mod, the nG235 would make a nice piece to stick the tedlar to.

Here is the completed control centre for a Mk111, as you can see I have already put the doubler on.

That bracket doesn't take much load, just the rearward deflection forces of the main wing strut from the wind. the main vertical jury strut is the important piece as it is the one that boosts the -ve G load capability.

That rearward strut attaches nicely to that capstrip, but then what? ultimately it is the glue that holds the inner capstrip to the foam that takes the load. For a -ve G situation, imagine the plane falling - the wings are being pushed upwards. What will be the first thing to "let go" when that rearward strut tries to pull the wing back down?

it is an aesthetic connection designed to only take a few pounds of load. the hardest part of that bracket installation is finding a rivet gun skinny enough to get inside that channel and pop the rivets properly.

Amen Tyler. I ended up filing the sides of my rivet gun down so it would fit.

I was sure there was another way, Thanks for the pics,
JPX MAN --- ? Are you saying that the rear JS mount is only riveted to the catstrap and the catstrap is only stuck onto the r6 with tedlar ?

Hi wayne

No, the order of material (starting from the air above the wing)

AIR
Jury Strut bracket
external capstrips
double sided tape (to keep the external capstrip from vibrating on the tedlar between rivets)
tedlar
double sided tape
wing rib capstrip
glue (PL Premium is the new stuff of choice in this application)
foam rib

the mounting rivet for the jury strut bracket goes from the AIR layer right through to the wing rib capstrip. 3 layers of metal in total get squeezed.
