The movies on the site here have a Lazair flying with a barrel BRS chute purched on top of the wing. I would like some info on chute mounting, type to use, etc. Could this person or anyone else with a chute please advise..?

I would seriously consider a BRS VLS-500 system. They cost just a little more than a BRS cannister UL-500 system and offer a sealed streamlined conformal parachute container. A good mounting position for this chute may possibly be above the wing and near, or just behind, the center of gravity. Once installed you would have a streamlined chute container that possibly will not affect normal handling (increased drag) or W&B.
