hey lazairheads

we have all benefited lately over the last couple of years from enterprising individuals organizing bulk procurement of hard to find lazair gear. new wheel halves, tapes, rod ends, nylon bearings, etc etc. I just thought i'd chime in with a thread for people to post things they'd be interested in "going in on" and if enough people have enough interest in one particular thing, somebody could take the initiative and organize it. Things i'm still interested in are:

- wide Tedlar tape
- factory wide gear fuselage tubes
- tedlar
- bearings for JPX 425 engines (hey I can ask!)
- B4 nylon bearings (one i didn't source)

anyway, if this thread goes nowhere sobeit, just thought i'd ask :)

tyler, good topic.

do your bearings have a number on them?
TEDLAR-- hmmm a few rumors around -what happend to nagy ?did he sell the proper tedlar? I read the tape was not the best. But i stand to be corrected.

nylon bearings can be turned -- post specs here.

The factory guys would let their Series 2 flop over on a wing and think nothing much about it. When the got a sec they would go over and get it back on the wheels. You must watch the wind carefully in a Series as it will go over on a tip easily. Wide track is much better for windy days. Always tie any plane down.

g'day all, i found it best to tie them down tail into wind with the stick full forwrd as well, one of the demos here pulled the tie downs and damaged the tail when it flipped over backwards at an airshow when a big gust came thru. ozzie

i would like to add "large pushrod nylon guides" to my list, as well as brake pads

Brake Pad sets are available from Manufacturers Supply for cheap.

Send me the dimensions and I'll see what I can do.

P.S. 060 gauge material for strobe bubbles too much trouble. Going to stick with .040 material. Maybe small housings for tiny tachs on bottom front of boom...
