Hi Mike, I installed them on my 185's. There's an Electronic Ignition thread in Rebuild tips. I only have a few hours on them but they perform great.
Good Luck,

Nova II, they'll work fine for the mower too!

Just for the record so it is clear Bosch Points and Condensers were to be used in the 185 engines. Using Atom modules with the ignition system was not a factory approved method.

Also later "Just for the Record" I may point out an extensive series of questionable modifications that were never "Factory Designed, Advised, Approved, nor Tested".

also for the record;
using the 185 as an airplane engine probably wasn't approved either :lol:
thanks

Absolutely correct. Just for the record the Lazair isn't an airplane either. Some claim it is ? Anyway, you see I've had these "Just for the Record" type things clearly pointed out to me so I'll start returning the favor so things are clear. From here onward I'll point out everything that is or isn't "Factory approved".

I've been meaning to ask. How's your re-drive project coming along. We haven't heard anything about it in a few years now. Oh wait a minute ! Using Re-drives isn't "Factory Approved" from what I understand.

If you are using aftermarket modules be aware that the engine can start in reverse and run backward. This has happened to mine numerous times and also on other Lazairs using modules. I never restart in the air if I am using modules. Barry

Haa Haa, oh yeah I gotta' get me some of those aftermarket modules on PDQ !

Anyway pheww... just for the record there would not have even been a record all these years had it not been for this site and few key people. Thanks to all who have contributed and participated on regular frequent basis.
