The following picture is of a series II Lazair that has been restored to the original covering Tedlar. The pod has been removed to make access easier. The engines are Rotax 185s with CDI ignition. The rudder peddles have been relocated forward for longer people. Now if only the rain would quit!

Hey don't fret to much, Im in NOT so sunny California, and I'm being held up by rain on weekends to.....so you can be consoled that theres no place any better than where you are at already.....except maybe Australia!

One good point though is that the weeks have been dry enough to evaporate the El Mirage dry Lake into a DRY lake again....so I have a 3 mile by 1 mile wide runway again.....that ought to suffice....if only those crazy hot rod racers would stop stirring up the dust ;)

Guys,

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I'm not the builder/restorer. I'm just the test pilot. George E did all the work. He hopes to do some taxi tests tomorrow. The weather may imporve by Wednesday or Thursday.
