My restoration is on the back burner for a few months. Most of you probably know that I'm a helicopter pilot for the US Coast Guard and part of that gig is that every few years or so I have to move. This year it's my turn to move so for now I'm concentrating on moving my family and my Lazair down to Mobile, AL. It's going to be hot down there, but hey, once my restoration is complete I can fly just about year round. Another benefit is that my new job down there as an instructor pilot will allow for more free time so I plan of having a good time with the two place and maybe even snaging myself a series III for when I want to fly a real Lazair.
Besides looking for a house, I am spending a bounch of time converting a boat trailer over to the far more noble job of hauling my Lazair. It will be a welcome change to bang and smash away on a trailer instead of making new ribs and refurbishing another d-cell. Like always, I'll keep you all posted of my progress, or in this case my lack thereof.
