Hello Everyone:
I'm new here. I just bought my first ultralight, after flying remote control airplanes for 15 years. Some of my r/c planes were getting big enough to class as an ultralight!

Anyways, I bought a 1982 Lazair with the JXL engines. Twin cylinders, 22 h.p each. Is this a rare plane, or how many out there. I'm from Canada, so wondering how many in Canada.

I haven't had my official solo yet, I've been taxiing up and down the runway, with my friend who sold it to me. He is giving me lessons on flying.

Glad to be a member of the Lazair group, I'm already loving this plane, and I'm sure when I take off for the first time, it's only going to get better.... :D

Another good reason to be from the USA. Probably the only reason. To not need a license to fly the Lazair I mean.

Greetings new guys,

Kelly -- 2seater? Tyler the JPX resident guru.

ls-- I thought US regs were changing ? Some Uls wil not be illegal there I think ? not sure check with your local EAA or FAA.
UL in canada only require a permit. Better trained UL pilots here of course :)

If you guys need parts I make most wing parts here in Ontario and complete lazair repairs.

I am a Rotax dealer as well.
