We lack comments because we just sit back and enjoy the show.....no time for comments when you could be watching it again.

Its a fantastic movie, and makes me quite ansy to get my own bird into the air......Ive been waiting on my Tedlar to arrive from John Naggy, but alas, the weather has been good for flying in Owen Sound, so not until it rains will I see my Tedlar arrive.

Fortunately I live in Southern California, and flying season is anytime theres no Fires or Santa Anna winds to tear things up.

Theres no such thing as winter down here when your a Canadian like me.

Your movie is so awesome, and just what I needed to see to get the enthusiasm bolstered again.

:D

Ray,

Glad to hear you enjoyed the flick. Very good movies in my opinion as well.

Special thank you to anyone that can send in more Lazair movies for everyone to Enjoy.

Tedlar - interesting --Let us know how you make out with it . Last I read was the Tapes that John was supplying were not the proper ones. But This is only here say. Perhaps Mr Nagy will come here and post the facts on adhesion of those tapes he is selling so this matter could be cleared up.

My Tedlar and Tapes are on the way.....I'll let you know what they are firsthand, to clear up any rumours.

I did however substitute the foam tape with 3M's new line of Very High Bond foam tape, which has superior UV reisistance and adhesion.

Are you using the 3M VHB 1/2" film attachment tape in conjunction with the 3M VHB foam tape on your Tedlar ? What do you plan to use as your 2"-3" finishing/capping tape ? Hopefully you do not plan to use aluminum foil tape ALONE as your seam/capping tape. Doing this would be I'll advised. Usage of aluminum foil tape as capping tape may work fine initially but will eventually become complete mess and dangerous. Foil tape was only suggested as a UV barrier to protect the original capping tape and not as a replacement. A good Tedlar covering job is said to last 15 years or more when done properly and with the correct materials.

Im using the 3M 4950 VHB foam tape and the F9469PC VHB 3/4 & 1/2 inch versions.

For the 2" tape Im using the 2" clear supplied by Naggy and in low stress areas a 2" Poly Patch greenhouse repair tape that has awesome UV resistance.

I also got some 3M Polyester Film Tape 850 Silver, 2 in which is an aluminized film to protect the other tapes from UV only and matches the aluminum wing skin perfectly.

No foil file for attachment of film anywhere....I totally agree!

Got my tedlar and it seems fine and strong.

But the 2" tapes are junk.

It keeps lifting an edge, the greenhouse repair tape is much better.

Its all finished now and ready for its maiden flight around the end of jan 2005.

I do think that I'll be converted to CDI ignition by then as well.

Ray,

Did I read that you are not satisfied with the tapes from John Nagy ?

I hope he will re-imburse you for the money you spent.

We never moderated his ads that him and his partner used to sell his Tedlar and tape kits from but hope fully he will come through and look after anyone that had issues. Or better yet maybe your issue was the only one.

Please keep us informed Ray on your progress. Apparently Mr Nagy is a flying instructor in Canada so I am sure he will respond professionally.
