another gem from my old man's photo album. a tailwind caught him while taxiing on the water! he ended up towing it to shallow water, righting it, brought it up on shore, drained the 185's of water, changed the plugs, the engines fired right up and he flew home!

Its gonna take some work! Around edmonton all the lakes are basically sloughs, about 4 to 10 feet deep at the most. a little further north around Peace country the lakes resemble ontario lakes again, but that's about 3 hours north of edmonton! When you look at those mountain pics on the lazairforce site though I've gotta go poke around those mountain lakes someday on floats....

If you go up there, make sure you bring your fishing rod! I hear Trout are especially tasty when eaten while sitting on a float with your toes dangling in the water! ;)
