Yes I have worked on the Triad A-1. The Curtiss Museum is now building a replica of the America, a wooden early wide body seaplane. I have a start on photos at http://angelica14709.com/v-web/gallery/album120

The Lazair was quite able to keep up to the A-1. The new seaplane being built at the Curtiss museum has Olmsted propellers with opposite rotations that will be a challange.
