Crack found in US Airways 737 window frame. Fliers beware of the
substandard maintenance on these airplanes. You won't believe this when you
see it; this is an actual crack that was found in the window frame on a
737. This could have caused a major in-flight problem.

I work for one of the big airplane companies in Seattle (possibly in the 737 division) and after some of the pictures of AOG's (airplane on ground) it is nice to see this one. We try to build fail-safe planes but occasionally a crack does appear.

On occasion we have the same problem in the U.S. Coast Guard, usually during the summer months. Our exchange pilot from the Canadian Forces tells me that they have crack issues in Canada as well.
