I am hoping to have it in the air next summer, but aircraft restoration has a tendancy to take as long as it wants to! I can honestly say that I have never been more motivated than I am on this project though.

i added a piece of sparcap over my throttles and another stop at the back like the front. came out lookin pretty good. the adjustment comes in how high you "plug in" the cables on the levers.

Ola,

Here is a pic of the RSTR & RSBR spar box pieces I made up over the weekend. While it's cold and snowing, I'm taking the opportunity to make jigs so that I can make up some of the key parts that folks seem to be needing. I'm also making velocity stacks for the Rotax 185's as well.

Ola,

Yes, they are exactly the same pieces acording to Dale. I e-mailed him yesterday specifically about the material, thickness and sizing and all three pieces were the same on all Lazair models. The material Dale used to use for these spar box parts was 2024-T3 Alclad .025 thickness, exactly what I am using on all three pieces.

And yes, I can make the middle section (RSR/L).

I continue to make progress on the B034. The fuse is just about done. I have started into the joys of removing the old Tedlar tape on the tail. In about two weeks or so I am going to get the wings that are stored back in upstate NY. I can't wait to get started on them.

I'm still hoping to get it in the air this year.......we'll see.

Looks like you are doing a real nice job. I see shiny aluminum, straight rows of rivets and nice filed edges. It looks like you have a good eye for detail, I like that!!Great work!! Can't wait to see the finished product.

What a great thread this is.. lots of pics etc.

Just Fantastic workmanship, great communications, just what this site is all about.

I have worked on many aircraft restorations and I have to admit that working on Lazairs, is the best.

Again, Great job and hope this inspires others to do the same.

Got the brakes and the seat belts installed. (They even restrain a three year old.)

I constructed a test stand for the KFMs and I should be making some noise soon.
