JPX PUL 425

Lazair Parts for sale

Postby uscgairdale » Mon Feb 20, 2006 10:43 pm

I am selling the JPX engines that came on my current Lazair project. I have had them both apart and I believe that one is a good engine while the other needs work (pistons, rings, and re-sleeving). I'm asking $500 for the "good engine". I haven't run it myself and I don't know much about it's past.

My plan is to offer them up for sale individually. I am willing to part out the engine that needs work so let me know if anything appeals to you. Thomas, I know that you were interested in the mufflers, let me know if you want them. Otherwise everything is up for grabs, make an offer on any of the parts that you want.

FYI, the previous owner replaced some of the carb parts in the 90's.

Dave... one of the prop hubs is the old style that was prone to cracking... It is easy to tell which it is... the newer one just looks like it is stronger

Well Dave if I`m not being to nosy -- what KFM`s how much do they cost -- what props -- do they come with a reduction drive -- and now that you have yours do you have a new engine supplier that I should check out?

KFM107's are not in production anymore, ended in 1986.

It will be hard to get parts I think, although I do know of at least one place that carries surplus parts, but when that runs out, your out of luck.

The guy bought all the left over stock from dealers of KFM107 so I think he is the only source left in the US.

Zenoah G-25 is a good substitute though...still in production and popular still.

Also Firth F-33

You can get KFM's and parts from
Airscew perfomance, But it"s not wise,
J-Bird has 4-5 engines and some parts.
along with Don Black in the web pages Ray gave.
and there is one or two on ebay from time to time.
