Thanks Daffy. I seem to remember a couple of wing tanks that were supposedly for a Lazair that were up for sale last year or the year before. They were metal and it looked like they fit on or in the leading edge. I could be wrong. They looked kina nice. I don't know if they sold or were installed by anyone. Too serious a mod for my liking.

Hi flyalaz,
Here are the pictures of the plastic tube, I mounted inside the wing, for gas lines and cables. Daffy

and last, the other side of the rib. You are also seeing the inside of Tyler's trailer. I should have rotated the picture to make it more clear. Daffy

Thanks Daffy,

Clean installation. A good incentive for me to try something similar on mine. I had thought the tubes would exit on the bottom. Is there a reason you went out the top?

No problem about Tylers' trailer in the background. I loaded it up so I know what it looks like. No confusion there!

Thanks again,

Karl

Hi flyalaz,
I went to the top, because it was in behind the engine (less drag) and closer to the carbs for attaching everything. On my set-up, the cables, wires and gas line go directly to the carb/engine. As you can see, it's a very simple modification before recovering. That tedlar you see in the pictures, was installed in 1985/1986. I did a slap test and I feel that it's still very strong and still safe to use. It was always hangered or in my trailer. I may add extra tapes and heat shrink it one more time before it's next fight.
But coming out the bottom would work just fine as well. It's whatever you prefer. :) Daffy
