p tip props

Does anyone know the difference between the biprops and the ptipped props? Is there any difference in the thrust? Do the biprops produce more or the ptips? New lazair after being out of the game for 15 years.

P-Tips are the "Cats Meow". I flew with Bi-props for 12 1/2 years and had a blast, but now that I have P-tips, I would not trade them in for anything.

The P-tips pull like crazy compared to Bi-props.

What do you mean "New Lazair after being out for 15 years? Do you mean back in it with an actual plane, or are you wanting to get back into Lazairs again?

Used to own a typeII with rudder pedals. Sold it when I got married. Close friend of mine bought a type III the other day. I actually got back into flying without costing me a cent! Just gas and a few pointers. Located in MS.

Mississippi! Who did your friend buy his plane from. I know there was a dealer down there years ago. Do you know much history about his plane?

I believe the dealer was Mike Smith in Florence. The plane was bought in Mobile, AL from Tom House? Mike helped build the type II I had a while ago. I believe my old one is still around the Jackson area.

Looks like the "Green Goblin" has been sold. Hope that you guys enjoy flying it. I've only flown on the bi-props, but the guys with the p-tips rave about them.

"Green Goblin" sounds right. Kinda concerned about the covering adding too much un needed weight. Only taxied it for about 30 minutes so far. The type III wide gear is defineatly different than the narrow gear I used to have. Wish I could run across the guy I sold mine to. I would love to buy it back (had a neat custom trailer that went with the bird). Give us another hour or so getting used to the thing on the ground and we'll see how she handles where she needs to be.....AIRBORNE
