No this plane for sale is not the "Super Lazair". There were a few Lazairs (4 maybe) that were equipped with the intricate rudderpedal rig. Personally I think it was largely a wasted effort as nothing was really accompished if you look at it all objectively. Note how Fred's knees are jammed up in his face and he doesn't look to be a tall guy (note the distance between the top of his head and the A-frame) ? Appears to me that you actually loose leg room with this set-up. What's the point of extending the side fuselage tubes if you don't gain any leg room. As far as building the rudderpedal rig I'd probably opt to rebuild another factory set-up Lazair from the tires up !

How can we be sure the wings are orig.series 3...??If they are could I hang a set of Tylers JPX'S on them?I'd buy Thomas's today but you know my border crossing problem at this time

If you look carefully you can see that it would not be as simple as just relocating the pedals on the extended tubes. A close look reveals that modification and relocation was also made to the flight control tubes. In total in took a huge amount of effort for what ?

Agree, you could probably adapt the factory pedals to this particular plane without too much trouble. No doubt that a huge amount of work went into designing and fabricating the intricate rudderpedal/brake system. Is it a better mousetrap considering everything it took to make it....surely not !
