Some progress on the Lazair hauler - the winglets may take a beating at highway speeds .

if you must leave them like this, make a vertical spoiler out of say 4" by 4" of foam to make the air more turbulent , and tape it to your wing about 2' in front of your wingtip. tape it well, as it will now take the wind load.

if you see it fluttering too much, those wingtips aren't hard to pop off, just a few rivets. and you can always buy new fibreglass ones from mike mcq when you arrive at destination.

They will have a camera on them and they will be watched closely on the testdrive in a few days. I was thinking of removing the covering since it is wrinkled and needs updated anyway however that would still leave the frame in the wind. The buses 11 ft. tall and just under 8 ft. wide so very little of the wings will be in direct wind. I may still come up with a shield to mount in between the bus in the plane.

You could get some boat shrink wrap and cover the whole thing or take it to a boat place and have them do it.

Ya I thought about that too. I have to do everything I`m doing now so if price and availablity will let that be an option, its a good idea.

I`ll be welding all day the rest of the week.
